Who Are We?

What We Believe

We are a body of seventh-day Sabbath keepers who are awaiting the second advent of Jesus Christ. Hence the name, Seventh-day Adventists, or SDA.

We are a rapidly-growing group of believers who know that, according to the Scriptures, God never changes, and we accept the Scriptures as our supreme authority on what to believe and how we should live.  James 1:17 tells us that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father… with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Some folks think that SDAs feel that Heaven will be filled with only SDAs. Not true. Heaven will be filled with people who believe and accept Jesus Christ as our only Savior. There is no other way to enter the kingdom than to embrace the sacrifice that was made. This unalterable fact is what joins us all.

Jesus, our ultimate Guide in matters of religion, made it clear that the gospel transcends what men think. In a conversation with the wily Pharisees, He spoke Matthew 22:37-40 – “Thou shalt love the Lord the God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

We also believe that the Bible transcends tradition, current thought or popular belief. And we embrace every word in the Bible as a Supreme directive. Out of love for Christ, we obey.

This is who we are – a people who love the Lord with everything we have within our being.
